Fun little demo I did at Monsterpalooza last week for my dear friends at the @ppipremiereproducts and @skinillustratorofficial booth! I applied this with my dear friend the amazing and talented @cristinapattersonart who also did the beautiful lenses.. Amazing teeth by @aaron_globerman and face sculpt by @ekoostudio special thanks to the @autonomousfx2005 team as always. The face is silicone and the cowl is foam latex. Always tricky. The cowl was repurposed from another mold to work for this makeup. Our perfect model @gordontarpley brought home the goods!! @mouthfx for the wonderful mouth stain!! A special ‘thank you’ to @artistrybyrenae and @frankiesinatra.mua for the clean up help!!

Old project that premiered last year? Chimera, or Vildheks that it was called in Danish. @brogan_sharp_ sculpted the prosthetic pieces, @timas78 made the wings and nails. @richardredlefsen prepainted the pieces. First pics are from the test when the wings were still in the making. Application by Brogan and Mattias in Budapest, and later Mátyás borda stepped in for Mattias when he started on the Cake General.

No prosthetics used. After applying aging texture and hand-layed facial hair, Merve used the Dark Fleshtone on-set palette to achieve the desired skin tone, Glazing Gels to make his skin look rough, dirty and sunburned. Blue Marble Sealer as a last touch!

A film I designed back in 2018 - ‘Ordinary Love’ starring Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson. The story chronicles the lives of a middle aged couple as they deal with a breast cancer diagnosis over the course of 12 months. Joan (Manville) decides to take control of the chemo induced hair loss and have husband Tom(Neeson) do the honours of shaving her head. This film is based on a true story. I had to figure out if it would be possible to shave a silicone bald cap with a full head of hair insertion. Would the tiny razor damage the silicone? Nope! In these pics you can see me helping the process between shots and giving Liam some assistance-he’s taking a break!

…As part of the story deals with hair loss c/o chemotherapy, I had about 5 different levels of hair volume and texture for the different stages. Additionally to that, some were entirely bald and just a paint job. The first level of hair growth is a combination of mohair and alpaca. From extensive research I realised that post chemo, the hair texture is really very different and can sometimes be an entirely different shade. As the hair grows back I started to introduce human hair into the insertion and eventually phased out the animal hair. When I started the job, Lesley was working in LA and I needed to get her life cast urgently in order to get the silicone bald caps made. I arranged her lifecast with @vincentvandykefx who then freighted the lifecast to @kmeffectsltd in London who sculpted the baldcaps & ran the pieces for me. I then did the paint job, hair insertion & application over in Belfast. A global team effort!
