Imitation of Life by Thom Floutz

This is a personal project — not for any show. The woman is a silicone figure, painted with oil paints, caulking and OS-10 solvent. After I’ve blocked all the colors in with this paint system, my last paint step before doing a final seal with caulking  is to use the Skin Illustrator palettes to punch up and define the areas that need it — deepening shadows, strengthening highlights, increasing contrast, and in general, just trying to create more interest with them.

On the Marre figure, Nicole Michaud did the hair, and Mike Pack made the eyes.

For the Ford figure, Denise Leibee-Baer did the hair work.
